Prepare a useful tree removal enquiry
Send photos showing the full tree, trunk base, nearby buildings and access from the street. Say whether the tree is on your land, a boundary or public land.
Compare the written scope
Ask how the tree will be dismantled, whether rigging or a crane is required, what happens to timber and green waste, and whether stump work is included.
Ask for the work method, qualifications, insurance, timing, exclusions, permit responsibility and clean-up in writing. Tree condition and access may require a site inspection before a final price.
